A woman from Ramsey has donated more than £700 to a charity supporting people living with lung conditions and those who care for them.

Susan Tavares, 54, of The Avenue, organised a bingo evening at Ramsey Forty Foot Village Hall in aid of Breathe Easy, which is based in March.

She raised the money in memory of her mum, Ivy Overall, of Curf Terrace, Chatteris, who died of emphysema, a lung disease, in September this year.

The bingo was held on December 4 which would have been her mum’s 72nd birthday.

Mrs Tavares said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to every one who came along and all those who donated prizes.”
