A MAN who crashed his car days after his 24th birthday has appeared in court.

Maxwell Boot, of Hollow Lane, Ramsey, lost control of his blue Ford Fiesta driving round a sharp bend in icy conditions on February 3 and crashed into an oncoming silver Peugeot 307 on Raveley Road in Woodwalton.

Boot, who suffered a broken leg in the crash, admitted driving without due care and attention when he appeared at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (August 9).

He was given five points on his licence, fined �175 and ordered to pay �15 victim surcharge and �70 costs.
