ARSONISTS set fire to a barn in Ramsey Heights last night (September 8) – causing four fire engines and police to be called.

Firefighters were called to the fire in Chapel Road at 9pm, to find a barn measuring around five by 10 meters fully engulfed in flames.

One crew from Ramsey station attended initially but a further three crews were called for extra water and police were summoned once it was established the fire had been started deliberately.

The fire was brought under control by 10.34pm.

The cause of the fire was deliberate and anyone with information should call police on 101.
