A Ramsey schoolgirl has sacrificed her long locks to raise money for the Little Princess Trust.
The charity supplies wigs to children who have suffered hair loss as a result of cancer treatment, so Macie Duke will not only be raising money for the charity, she will be donating the hair itself to help make up the real hair wigs.
Macie had about 7in of her, fortunately, long hair whipped off at the Cutting Room in Huntingdon.
Her mum Sheryl, 47, said: “She did it before on the 12/12/12 and raised £200. This time it was 15/5/15 at 15:15 (3.15pm) and she’s hoping to raise even more.”
Family and friends sponsored Macie, as did schoolmates and staff at Ramsey Junior School. There was also a collection box at the Cutting Room at One Leisure in Huntingdon.
