Q: If I have thermostatic radiator valves do I need a room thermostat?
A: Yes as thermostatic radiator valves will only switch the hot water flow and do not stop the boiler from firing and using energy.
A room thermostat is accurate to within a degree or so and will prevent the boiler firing on relatively mild days, again saving energy.
