Hundreds of people flocked to Magpas headquarters in Huntingdon on Saturday to bag themselves a bargain at a luggage sale.

Magpas opened the doors to its St Mary's Street base, to a queue of bargain hunters, who were all set for the charity's first unclaimed luggage sale.

There were 130 different bags on offer, all of which had been donated by Stansted Airport, after holiday-makers had failed to pick them up at the end of their travels.

To add to the mystery, people weren't allowed to look inside the luggage before purchasing; they could only pick up and feel the bags.

In total the sale of the bags raised £829 with an extra £377.73 raised through the charity's shop which had opened up on a Saturday especially for the event.

Wendy Mason, event organiser said: "It was an amazing event and a huge success. All I could say was 'wow' after seeing how many people were queuing outside the doors."
