Pupils at Brington Primary School are enjoying meeting their new school pet, but can’t agree on a name for her, so now they’re asking the whole community to have a say.
Acting head teacher, Mark Farrell said: “The whole school voted on which pet to choose and the tortoise won. Now they’re eager to learn all about tortoises and how to care for her.”
But so far, no one can agree on the right name, so the tortoise is nameless.
Mr Farrell added: “We’d like everyone in our community to get involved in finding just the right name for our new arrival.”
The names Shelley, Star, Hermione or Shelby feature in the poll. Log on to the school’s Facebook page to cast your vote.
