The woman, who has not yet been identified, was found at a property in Mayors Walk, Peterborough, on June 5. A murder inquiry was launched and a 57-year-old man from Peterborough who is believed to have worked in Huntingdon, was arrested in connection with the murder of the woman and he remains in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station, Peterborough, after an extension was granted by magistrates this morning (June 9). Police are continuing to make inquiries and are still searching for the missing body parts. The murder is being treated as an isolated incident and a dedicated team of officers has been set up to investigate the matter.
