Peterborough United star Conor Washington was the surprise guest at a football camp held in Huntingdon.
Washington, a former St Ives Town striker, led a short skills session with a group of youngsters in Hinchingbrooke Park before stopping to sign shirts and pose for pictures.
The camp was organised and run by the charity Sports Connection Foundation, which runs sports camps and education sessions for youngsters across the country.
The charity was set up by footballer Junior McDougald, who grew up in Huntingdon and played for Tottenham and Brighton, among others.
