Cambridgeshire police have warned the owners of Audi and BMW vehicles to be on alert after an increase in thefts in Huntingdonshire.
The warning came after an Audi S3 was stolen from a driveway in Hilton, between 5-8.30pm, on Monday (November 2).
PC Jo Grant said: “Offenders have broken into a property in Hilton and taken several items of jewellery and some cash, as well as an Audi S3 from the driveway.
“We tracked the vehicle back to Howitts Gardens, in St Neots, where we have recovered it and continue to work towards identifying offenders.
“We are currently seeing an increase in burglary offences whereby high powered vehicles predominantly Audi and BMW are being targeted and stolen so please be vigilant if you own this type of car.”
Anyone with information about the theft can contact PC Grant on 101 or via Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
