Between May 27 and 28, a car in Tansy Close was broken into, but nothing was stolen. During the same period, thieves broke into a vehicle in Fallow Drive and stole an ipad and an ipod. On May 29, between 18:20 and 18:50, a vehicle parked in Blakes Way had its off-side drivers window smashed and two bags were stolen. At some time between May 31 and June 1, someone attempted to force the locks and break into a car in Lady Way. Thieves broke into two vehicles in Beauchamp Close, between 5pm on June 5 and 4.45pm on June 6 and stole tools. Theft from motor vehicles remains an issue where items are still being taken from vehicles. We have also received some calls reporting persons trying door handles to vehicles, so there is clearly some opportunist thieves about the area, said PC Carl Harris. Local patrols have been increased, officers have been dedicated to specific areas at specific times to disrupt and catch the offenders and gain some more intelligence around this matter.
