A motorbike has been confiscated after police responded to complaints about people riding dangerously in Eynesbury and Eaton Socon.

Residents had reported that off-road motorcycles and quad bikes were being ridden on footpaths and open areas.

In response, St Neots officers carried out patrols and on Friday (May 2) seized a bike in Eynesbury. The rider was reported for road traffic offences.

Sergeant Keren Pope, who seized the motorbike with PC Dawn Fuller, said: “People are reporting that this riding is dangerous and causing distress to local residents, pedestrians and other motorists.

“We are taking action against these riders but we need members of the public to report incidents to ensure we’re in the right place at the right time and to hopefully identify the culprits or the vehicles used. This will assist us in seizing vehicles and/or reporting individuals for road traffic offences.”
