A man who was killed after being hit by a car as he walked along the A1 at Eaton Socon on Friday (April 10) night has been named by police as John Dawson.
Mr Dawson, aged 49, of Colmworth Gardens in Eaton Socon, was struck by an oncoming Nissan Navara just before 10pm as he walked along the north-bound carriageway.
Police, the ambulance service and the East Anglian Air Ambulance attended, but Mr Dawson died from his injuries at the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses and ask anyone with information about the collision to call the Roads Policing Unit on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
