A woman who died following a collision on the A1 between the B654 Wyboston and the A428 yesterday (July 28) has been named.

Colette McCulloch, 35, of The Lane, in Wyboston, died when she collided with a HGV at about 3am.

Police were called to the A1 between the B1048 and the A428 at 3.30am after a collision between the HGV and a pedestrian.

The southbound carriageway was closed from the A14 at Brampton Hut, Huntingdon, to the A428 turning for Eaton Socon, St Neots while an investigation was carried out yesterday morning.

Anyone who saw the incident or a woman walking along the A1 yesterday morning (Thursday) is being asked to contact police on 101 and ask to speak to a member of the Road Policing Unit.
