Police are linking a spate of thefts in which tools were stolen from work vans in St Neots and the surrounding villages.

On Monday (May 2) police received reports of three incidents in Little Paxton - in Lakeside Close, High Street, and Hayling Avenue - in which tools were stolen from Ford Transit vans.

On the same night, in nearby Graveley, five vans were targeted, along with two cars and a recovery truck, with tools also reported stolen.

PCSO Abbie McQuaid said: “The St Neots area is being targeted at the moment for tool thefts from work vans. To prevent this happening to you we are urging all you to remove the tools from vans overnight.”
