Police are asking residents in Sawtry to “review their security arrangements” after a spate of six burglaries in less than a week.
Officers say the burglaries all took place between February 2-5 and garages were targeted.
Items worth hundreds of pounds, including pedal cycles and power tools, have been stolen in these offences, which occurred in Ermine Way, Stangate Way, The Wheatsheaves, Gloucester Road and Buckingham Way.
PCSO Lee Hurley said: “Please be advised that in half of the cases, an insecurity has been exposed in order to commit these offences. We are asking residents living in the Sawtry area in particular to review their security arrangements and ensure all outbuildings are secured.”
Anyone who has seen or heard anything suspicious in the area is asked to call Huntingdonshire burglary team on 101, e-mail hunts.burglary@cambs.pnn.police.uk or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
