Police have issued a warning to people living in St Neots to beware of a suspected burglar who has been making house calls.

People living in Eaton Socon and Eaton Ford and in Eynesbury have reported a man who claims to be from a double glazing and apologises to householders about noise. Checks have revealed that no work is being carried out in the vicinity so his motives are thought to be suspicious.

An e-cops alert says: “Whilst the recent incidents have occurred in the above areas, we have previously dealt with similar incidents in other areas across the district and have linked such incidents to burglaries.

“We are therefore encouraging members of the public to report any suspicious activities of this kind.”

Contact police on 101 or 999 if you believe a crime is about to be committed.
