Police are appealing for information after a woman in St Neots woke up to find an intruder in her room and later discovered a diamond ring missing.

The Huntingdonshire Burglary Team are investigation the incident that took place at an address in Wilkinson Close in Eaton Socon at 3pm on June 10. The woman, who was asleep at the time, woke to find the man in her bedroom and after she shouted at him, he escaped through an upstairs window. He was last seen walking away quickly in the direction of the Great North Road.

The offender is described as being tall, wearing a dark coloured top and a navy or black woolly hat. The yellow gold engagement ring has a white diamond stone.

DC James Howard, of the burglary team, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have information, particularly anyone who saw a male over six feet tall and wearing a dark woolly hat in the Eaton Socon area on Friday afternoon.
