Two men who died in a collision earlier this week have been formally identified.
Thomas Fletcher, 19, of Meadow Walk, Yaxley, and Thomas Northam, 22, of Lilac Walk, Yaxley, were killed in the collision on the B1091 at Farcet, near Yaxley, which was reported at about 11.15am on Tuesday.
A 38-year-old man, from Essex, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and ABH remains in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station, in Peterborough.
Police are also investigating reports of a man entering a house in the area and the discovery of a briefcase containing cash.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
Since the news, a JustGiving page has been set up in memory of the men, hoping to raise £5,000 towards funeral costs.
The page reads: “Both families are well-known in Farcet and Yaxley and our hearts go out to both their families at this sad time. Our villages are devastated.
“Tom Fletcher and Tom Northam should have been off looking forward to a whole life ahead of them, but sadly got took away too soon. Fly high guys, well loved and well missed by all.”
More than £4,000 has been raised so far, alongside tributes describing the incident as “soul destroying” and that the men “did not deserve to leave this world in this way”.
