Police have identified the man involved in a fatal collision in Huntingdon yesterday (Wednesday, February 10).

The collision between a blue Kawasaki motorcycle and a white Mercedes Sprinter van, happened at about 3.05pm at the junction of Ermine Street and Lancaster Way.

The rider of the motorcycle is 44-year-old Andrew Symmons, of Barn Close, Hartford, who suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

PC Ian Gray, from the Beds, Cambs and Herts Road Policing Unit, said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either of the vehicles in the moments leading up to it.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the road policing unit on 101, quoting incident 271 of February 10.
