A 19-YEAR-OLD man was attacked by youths in Sawtry.
Cambridgeshire police said the man was walking along Annesley Close at about 9pm on Thursday, January 19, when he was approached by a group of 15 to 20 youths and assaulted by two of the group.
The victim, who suffered minor injuries, managed to break free but was chased by one youth who continued to assault him until an elderly couple walked by.
The first attacker was described as in his mid teens, tanned, around 6ft 2in tall, with a heavy build, with short dark hair and was wearing chinos. The was described as white, in his mid teens, around 5ft 10in tall and wore a white hooded top and black scarf, which was covering his face.
Tim Owens, civilian investigator, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who has any information about this assault, in particular the couple who disturbed the offender.”
