Police have confirmed that a body found in Huntingdon last Wednesday (January 6) is that of Gary Sanders.
Mr Sanders, 43, from Huntingdon, was reported missing by his family on Christmas Eve and an appeal was launched by police.
A body of a man was found by police in Sayer Street, and a formal identification confirming it to be Mr Sanders.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said that a post mortem had been carried out and confirmed that the death was not being treated as suspicious.
“The case has now been passed to the coroner,” the spokesman added.
