POLICE were called to a domestic dispute on Friday (January 21) which ended in an armed siege.
When officers arrived at the address in Fairfax Court, Eynesbury, at noon, they were faced by a man wielding a knife.
Police said his continued aggression towards officers meant they had to withdraw and the firearms unit was called in.
Despite police negotiations, the man refused to comply which resulted in his being ‘tasered’ and then arrested. The man was uninjured.
• David Cable, 45, of Fairfax Court, Eynesbury, appeared before Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged with affray, ABH and common assault and exposure. Because of the severity of the charges magistrates ruled the case should be heard at crown court.

A provisional date for the trial has been set for Monday February 21.
