Police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with a fraud offence in Huntingdon last month.
At around 11.20am on Friday, May 6, the victim was at Ladbrokes betting shop in Huntingdon, when he was approached by a man who asked him if he would like to buy a laptop.
They went to the Sainsbury car park in St Germain Walk to view the laptop, along with a mobile phone, which the victim, a man in his 20s, agreed to buy for £900. They were also joined by a second man.
The deal was made, with the victim handing over cash and receiving the goods in a laptop bag, before the offenders left at speed in a dark red hatchback.
When he got home he opened the bag to find it had two bottles of water inside and no laptop or phone.
Officers would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may know the men in the CCTV images.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
