POLICE want to get in touch with a couple who may have witnessed the attempted theft of a car in Hail Weston.
The incident took place in High Street at 10.10pm on Thursday (August 25), when an offender smashed the rear window of a Toyota Landcruiser, causing the alarm to go off.
The owner checked his car and a man and a woman told him that a boy had just ran off. Police would like the couple to contact them, as they had gone when officers arrived.
