A YOUTH raised alarm by throwing aerosol cans onto a bonfire in a residential estate.

Cambridgeshire police were alerted to a youth sleeping in a tent in Thongsley, Huntingdon, who had started a bonfire at around 10pm last night (Wednesday).

Officers called for firefighters to attend after the boy started throwing aerosol cans onto the fire.

The crew, from Huntingdon, extinguished the fire before returning to base at 10.45pm, when they received another call as the youth had restarted the fire.
