When stepping onto Carworld’s eight-acre lot, you might be taken aback by the sea of cars which almost appears to stretch out over the horizon.

The term ‘car supermarket’ usually applies to dealers with 100 cars on the lot, but Carworld’s site in Peterborough, one of the UK’s largest, has more than 1,000 for you to choose from, representing all 36 major manufacturers including BMW, Audi,

You’re mostly left to explore the site at your own pace; however Carworld’s friendly knowledgeable staff are on hand to answer any questions you might have about a car’s particular features, financing options, part-exchanges, or arranging a test drive.

A spokesman for Carworld says: “Customers are doing an immense amount of research at home, and so it’s our job to listen to them and really understand the purpose of the vehicle they’re after.

“We don’t expect customers to come here and have to haggle or be subjected to high-pressure sales pitches. We’re not here to sell; we’re here to help them buy.”

The spokesman adds: “Whether it’s a £3,000 or £100,000 car, it is still a dream for somebody.”

Carworld’s entire stock is available to view on their website and on Autotrader, and from there you can speak to someone 24/7 about any car that takes your fancy and book an appointment to come see it for yourself. You can even arrange the finance online and have a decision made straight away.

The team at Carworld stress that the customer “is at the centre of everything we do.”

There are no sales gimmicks, no large inflatables - just honest pricing - which can change as often as twice a week to keep competitive with the market. They also do not charge admin fees, so the price you see is the price you pay.

The spokesman explains: “Our sale runs 365-days-a-year!

“Unlike franchised dealers, which often have restrictions put in place by the manufacturers, we are completely independent. As such, we can offer a wider choice at supermarket prices.”
