A MAN has died after collapsing in Huntingdon.
The male had been crossing the busy Huntingdon ring road near to the town’s river bridge when he collapsed in the road at 8.10am on Monday (August 9).
It had originally been thought that the man had been struck by a car but a spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said the incident did not involve any vehicles. The road was closed to traffic in both direction from the Black Bull in Post Street, Godmanchester to the bridge until just after 9am.
The man, who is in his 50s, was taken by ambulance to Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon where he later died.
