HINCHINGBROOKE Hospital’s A&E is among the best in the country according to a new survey of patients.

People who were treated at the emergency department were asked whether they would recommend it to loved ones in the Government’s “NHS Friends and Family Test”.

The results for June, the first test results to be published, put the Huntingdon hospital in the top 10 nationally.

It recorded 398 responses from patients out of a possible 1,684, a response rate of 23.6 per cent.

Out of those, 386 said they were extremely likely and likely to recommend the hospital to family and friends.
