Demand for seats on trains between Huntingdonshire and London is likely to increase today after services were suspended between the capital and Luton.

Overhead line damage means First Capital Connect has been unable to run trains between St Pancras and Luton.

Anyone wanting to travel to Luton, St Albans or Bedford has been advised to use Great Northern line trains.

Passengers heading for Bedford have been told to go to St Neots where buses would take them to their destination.

A Network Rail spokesman said: “Network Rail engineers are on site, with early indications that disruption is likely to continue for the rest of the day. Passengers are being advised to use alternative routes where available.”
