Part of Huntingdon’s new multi-storey car park will be open in time for Christmas.
The ground floor will be open on December 18 until January 5 to allow 120 extra spaces for shoppers.
From January 6, the car park will be closed to allow construction to continue.
The 400-space car park is expected to be open in March.
Councillor Jason Ablewhite, Huntingdonshire District Council executive leader, said: “I am pleased to announce that by working closely with our partners, we are able to open the ground floor of the car park during the important Christmas period.”
