Lex and Lynnette Ellison, whose son Samson suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, were supported by friends and staff from Keystone Marketing and Bosch Rexroth in their quest to raise vital funds for a cure for the condition. The nine fundraisers handed out 1,000 leaflets explaining the condition, which causes the muscles to weaken. The current life expectancy in the UK is 27, but Lex and Lynnette are dedicated to finding a way that they can have longer with their son. Samsons story inspires so many people to do their very best everyday, said Lynnette. It is a story of hope and we are just a normal family trying to make life as good as we can for our children. We are so touched by the positive reception we had in our lovely St Neots town. People took time out of their busy days to listen to our story and we are so grateful for everyones generosity. The family and supporters managed to raise £775.40, with a further £55 in online and text donations.
