Sports Day has been cancelled at a school in Eaton Socon and parents have been asked to collect their children after reports of a man seen in the street with an axe.

Bushmead School has cancelled its sports day and sent a text message out to parents advising them to pick up their children, if possible.

The Hunts Post has received reports that several St Neots schools are on lock-down as a safety precaution after the man was spotted with an axe at 10am this morning (Friday). There have been no arrests so far.
