Hundreds of people gathered in the village on Saturday to enjoy the event, held on the Queen Elizabeth II Playing Field, which saw visitors enjoy music, face painting, donkey walks and the ever-popular crockery smash.

Councillor Jean Matheson, parish council chairman, said: “It was fantastic, a very successful day and several of the people on the stalls said they had the best day.”

As part of the event's seaside theme there was a treasure hunt for children and big kids alike to enjoy.

“It was a fun thing for the children to do and mums and dads loved it. We also had sticks of rock made up with Paxfest 2017 to give to the children,” Cllr Matheson added.

The fun dog show also attracted an array owners and their dogs, some of whom entered several of the classes on offer.
