The Sing for Spring event took place at St Mary Magdalene Church, in Brampton, on April 21, and saw a varied line-up of acts take to the stage, including acapella group Rhapsody, and acoustic duo The Bad Randoms. The event raised more than £1,500, which will be shared between local churches and the End Polio Now campaign. Chris Shannon, president of the Rotary Club of Huntingdon Cromwell, which organised the event, said: It was a great evening and the support from the audience was absolutely superb. We sold about 140 tickets and, together with all the singers, the church was packed. Also performing on the night was the Rotary Voices choir and barbershop quartet Alchemy. Mr Shannon said the club would be hosting a similar event in St Ives in the autumn.
