One person in hospital after St Ives house fire

One person was taken to hospital after a fire broke out in a house in St Ives.

Firefighters were called to Spencer Drive at 4.12pm yesterday (Monday) to tackle the blaze and protect a neighbouring property from becoming smokelogged.

The fire was under control by 5.17pm.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said one person was taken to hospital.
