STAFF and pupils at Alconbury Community Pre-School held a special celebration assembly after being judged ‘outstanding’.
Ofsted inspector Deborah Hunt visited the school, which caters for children aged three to five, on March 16 and stated: “Overall, the quality of the provision is outstanding.”
The report went on to say the educational setting was highly stimulating, friendly, vibrant and enthusiastic and one in which children flourish.
Pre-school supervisor Carol Fry said: “We are delighted by this result. It’s taken a lot of commitment, dedication and hard work to achieve this, but it’s all been worth while.
“I would like to thank the staff and the committee for all their hard work and the parents and carers who have supported us over the years.”
The pre-school, based at the Memorial Hall, School Lane, was also praised for the effectiveness of leadership and management of the provision.
