He was re-elected as MP for North West Cambridgeshire and he has now been reinstated as a Justice Minister.

Shailesh Vara’s reappointment as a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State has been confirmed today.

His responsibilities will include courts and tribunals, Legal Aid, administrative justice and legal services.

He said: “I am delighted to be reappointed as a Justice Minister. I am particularly looking forward to continuing with my previous responsibilities where there is still much work to be done.”

Mr Vara, who retained his seat earlier this month with a majority of 19,795, was initially made a Parliamentary Under-Secretary in the justice department in 2013.
