Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service received no 999 calls from the Huntingdonshire area during their strike action.
Members of the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) went on strike from 7pm-12 midnight on Christmas Eve, from 6.30pm-12.30am on New Year’s Eve into New Year’s Day, and from 6.30am-8.30am on Friday (January 3).
Across the county, firefighters attended two incidents and one automatic fire alarm on Christmas Eve.
They also received six calls including two false alarms on New Year’s Eve through to the early hours of New Year’s Day.
The service have thanked the public for heeding their messages about safety over the festive period.
Chris Strickland, Deputy Chief Fire Officer at Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: “Whilst our day-to-day services were severely disrupted by the strike, the commitment of our on-call, support and operational managers ensured we were able to fulfil our legal duty to provide a fire and rescue service.
“Our thanks goes out to the community for taking extra care this morning and putting safety at the forefront of their minds.”
