Motorists on the A14 in Cambridgeshire have been warned that road closures will be taking place from this week.

Starting tomorrow (Tuesday), the westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between junctions 31 to 32 – Girton to Histon – while improvement work is carried out by Highways Agency contractors.

The closures will take place from Tuesday (April 22) through to Friday (April 25) between 9pm and 6am. Diversions will be sign posted with details available from www.highways.gov.uk/roads/road-projects/A14-Junction-31-to-32-Eastbound-and-Westbound-Improvements.

The work will also see one lane of the eastbound carriageway closed from 8pm until 6am from Tuesday to Friday.

A spokesman for the HA said: “We are confident the night-time carriageway and lane closures will be limited to the first three weeks of the works programme and we will keep people informed of closures beyond April 25.”
