The long-standing maroon jumper and polo shirt uniform of the St Ives-based school has been changed for a new black blazer and grey trouser combination, with maroon-coloured tie as a nod to the schools heritage. There is also a grey tartan skirt available for girls. Also new for the autumn term is a house system, with all students now belonging to one of five houses: Bridge (green), Crosier (purple), Leger (red), River (blue) or Wheatsheaf (gold). The school hopes the house system will encourage students to mix more outside of their usual groups. Head teacher Sam Griffin said: We are all excited by the opportunities these new initiatives offer our students. The successful launch of a new uniform is already seeing our students walking tall, making a marked difference in encouraging more mature behaviour.
