A NEW face has taken over the helms at RAF Brampton and Wyton.

Wing Commander Mike Brown, pictured right, takes over the baton as station commander of RAF Brampton and Wyton from his predecessor Wing Commander Robert Cook.

Wing Commander Brown, who joined the RAF in 1986 and has served in Afghanistan, stepped into the role on Monday. Most recently Wing Commander Brown has been responsible for changing the information systems used by the armed forces as chief of staff to the Director for Information Superiority.

He said: "I am very excited to be given this opportunity to lead this station though the huge changes that we will face over the coming years. We will continue to work closely with the community as the closure of RAF Brampton draws near and arrival of a number of new units to RAF Wyton, which will see many more service families settle in the area."
