AN ALCONBURY woman is planning to take the plunge and go for the snip to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Charlotte Silverside, aged 35, has decided to do away with her long tresses to raise money for the charity after Macmillan nurses cared for her grandfather, mother-in-law and friend when they fell ill with cancer.
Genesis hairdressers in St Ives have offered to cut Charlotte’s hair on Friday, January 28.
The Comtec Cable Accessories worker said: “My hair is down to my hips. I get it trimmed, but I have never had it cut. I have been thinking about getting it cut for a while now, but I have never been brave enough to do it.”
INFORMATION: To offer donations and find out more call Tracey Dean at Macmillan Cancer Support on 01480 408980 or email cambridgeshire@macmillan.org.uk.
