Members of Huntingdon in Bloom unveiled a brand new display to celebrate the third anniversary of the group.

Volunteers from the in bloom team partnered with Shakespeare at the George (SatG) to unveil a 3D floral display which celebrates the drama group’s upcoming production, Pericles.

On Friday, members of Huntingdon in Bloom, SatG and other community groups gathered at the Walks East to officially unveil the display, created by Huntingdon Town Council’s estates services team.

The mayor and mayoress of Huntingdon, Councillors Jay and Sonia Dyne, were in attendance and cut the ribbon to unveil the display.

Representatives from organisations including the Huntingdon Grafham Water Lions, the Hinchingbrooke Hospital garden volunteers, Hunters Down Care Home and Huntingdon Tesco Extra community space all assembled to show their support for Huntingdon In Bloom.

Judging for this year’s Anglia In Bloom competition will take place on July 7, where it is hoped that Huntingdon can improve on last year’s silver gilt award.
