The Norris Museum has a new curator.

Sarah Russell joined the St Ives museum last week from Royston, where she has managed the town’s museum for the last two years.

Previously, Ms Russell, who lives in Ely, worked for the Imperial War Museum at Duxford and the Museum of Cambridge and is an associated member of the Museum Association.

“It is quite exciting to lead the expansion project. For the Imperial War Museum I was on a big project to build an new exhibition about the site and how people want to experience displays,” she said.

“My expertise is specialising interpretation for audience, looking at text, interaction and audio, providing the information in ways people like, which is something that will be key for the Norris Museum.”
