Housing provider Luminus celebrated the opening of six new affordable homes in St Neots with councillors.

The new rental properties, in Leys Road, are energy efficient and have been built as part of Luminus’ programme to develop homes on former garage sites, helping to meet housing needs in Huntingdonshire.

A short opening ceremony was held at Leys Road last Thursday, conducted by Luminus executive director, Nigel Finney.

Also in attendance was the mayor of St Neots, Councillor James Corley, chairman of Huntingdonshire District Council, Councillor Peter Bucknell, along with Councillor Doug Dew.

Mr Finney said: “We are delighted to be able to open a further six homes, reinforcing our commitment to delivering high quality affordable homes in Cambridgeshire. “Housing remains a top priority, both nationally and locally, and we are committed to providing for the needs of our communities, both now and in the future. We are also grateful for the district council’s support in helping us to make this development possible.”
