Almost 100 cyclists have already signed up for The Hunts Post’s Two Wheels for Woodlands charity bike ride.

The event, on Sunday, June 29, starts and finishes at Alconbury Weald and offers four rides around Huntingdonshire: a 100-mile route for the most daring; 60 and 30-mile routes for those who want a challenge as well as two family rides.

One of the family rides will be on the former airfield and will be traffic free. The other will take a scenic route of nearby villages.

Two Wheels for Woodlands has been set up by The Hunts Post, St Ives and St Neots cycling clubs and professional cycle ride organisers Wheels in Wheels Events to raise money for the Woodlands Cancer Centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon, to help with the unit’s £800,000 expansion plans.

To boost the funds even more, we are putting together sponsorship forms which will be available by the end of the week by emailing hywel.barrett@archant.co.uk.

INFORMATION: The 100 and 60-mile routes cost £25, the 30-mile route costs £15 and it is £5 for a family of four for the family rides.
