It’s out with blockbuster movies and in with butterfly burgers – a retail unit in Huntingdon will be transformed to make way for a Nandos restaurant.
The national chain looks set to move into a building at Towerfields Lesiure Park after the owners – Legal and General – were given planning permission to revamp and extend the former Block-buster unit. The popular chicken specialist has worked to ensure the extended unit has the space to accommodate it – with additional space needed for the kitchens and dining area.
The scheme also needed permission for a change of use from retail to restaurant/café, which has also been granted by Huntingdonshire District Council. The move will create 40 new jobs – split equally between full and part time roles.
