Police are appealing for information after nails and tacks were again left strewn across a footpath in Upwood.

Cambridgeshire police were contacted on April 21 after a member of the public had found the sharp pieces of metal spread out over a footpath that leads across a field off Bentley Close.

Sgt Chris Shaw, of Cambridgeshire police, said: “Police received a call advising that nails and tacks had been found along a footpath across a field, spread by unknown persons, and which were posing a danger to animals and other users of the path.

“This is the latest in a series of incidents and police have issued a separate appeal for any information that might help identify the culprits.”

Anyone with information should contact Sgt Shaw on 101.
