Breast Cancer Now’s Wear It Pink event takes place on October 19 and will see thousands of people adding a splash of pink to their outfit and raising much-needed funds for breast cancer research.
Since the first event in 2002, Wear It Pink has raised more than £31million and Mr Vara is encouraging local people to fundraise in their homes, workplaces and schools to help continue to support the charity’s vital work.
He said: “Wear It Pink is a great way to bring people together and have fun whilst raising money to help put a stop to this devastating disease.”
